Can my child bring their own toys to childcare?
We all understand that your little ones toys are very precious to them however, we have an abundance of toys and we ask that children do not bring in toys from home. This eliminates toys getting lost, broken, disappointment for other children and responsibility on Educators to track numerous toys throughout the day.
What is play based learning?
Play-based learning involves and develops from activities that children organise and explore to make sense of the world around them and understand their own social world as they engage actively with people, objects, and representations.
What standards do you have to follow?
The National Quality Standard (NQS) is a key aspect of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and sets a high, national benchmark for early childhood education and care.
The NQS brings together the 7 key quality areas that are important to outcomes for children:
1. Educational program and practice
2. Children’s health and safety
5. Relationships with children
6. Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
7. Leadership and service management
What if my child has asthma or an allergy?
It is vital that we are aware of any allergies or asthma. Families are required to explain any allergy or asthma on the enrolment form as well as provide us with the diagnosis from the doctor. The Service has a procedure the staff follow to minimise allergic reactions.
The Service requires an Action Plan filled in by your doctor to assist in managing your child’s needs. The Action Plan is to be updated every 6 months.
Do we pay on public holidays?
Public holidays are charged at the normal daily fee. Families will be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for public holidays if they have not exceeded allowable yearly absences.
